Response to Class 2/22/10

A terrible travesty occurred yesterday on my way to class. I when I hopped in my truck I sensed that the truck was leaning. Stepping out to investigate I discovered that in fact the car was leaning due to a flat. Apon future inspection of the tire it came to my attention that this flat was not caused by a nail or anything like that, but in fact the tire had been SLASHED!!! Having already used my spare previously, I was pretty much effectively put out of commission living on off campus and not able to be mobile at all. This was the great travesty that prevented me from attending our great class. I'm sure that it was a great class that everyone walked away with yet another way to think about the world. I am very disappointed that I had to miss class and I vow whoever committed this crime that made me miss class shall pay!!!

Bliss + Time + Breaking rules = ????

Over the whole week I have been studying for a math test. I told myself earily on in the week that any free time I had will be used to study for this test. So all week I have done what I told myself I was going to do, STUDY STUDY STUDY. Then on friday night one of my roommates insisted that we go snowboarding the next day. My initial thoughts were no, I have to study for the comming test. But then I thought about this assignment and reasoned with myself that it was a good enough excuse for me to go. It was such a nice break from the relentless math equations going throught my head all week. I really think that the break I took yesterday has made me more able to focus today.

Breaking the Rules

In the business world there is this necessity for a hierarchy between workers and management. Whether it is a very flat organization or tall it seems almost every business has in some sort or another this metaphorical chain of command. What I want to purpose is a business situation with no leaders, no one person is any more above or important than another one. Everyone getting paid the same wage in order to accomplish a common goal. Why do people hate there jobs? Why do good and responsible people who know they have to earn a living and know the only way to do that is to have a job have there work hindered by anger and resenment. This anger and resentment brought about by condescending and demoralizing hierarchy within the business environment. I personally believe if you actually took the time and found responsible people that word work together as a team to accomplish goals that you would end up with a very highly productive group. While also fulfilling a social responsibility of creating a happy work environment for your employees. Something that although exists on the exterior of the business worlds agenda, seems to be unaddressed when you actually look at the workings of the corporate world. Now this idea might be flawed, you might get those people that slack off or you might get that natural nature of people to form a hierarchy of management consciously or unconsciously. But what if you didnt what if you found that perfect group, think of what might be able to be accomplished...what if

Jerking with a circle

A Circle can be many things. You can define it as a shape with no edges. Yet, you can think more abstractly and define a circle as anything. Making the properties of a circle all your own. Circles are everywhere at all times.

Response to class 3

The use of the disco ball and turning out the lights was a great change of pace from what I am used to from other classes. This was my first encounter with the infamous Beth today, and proved to live up to the hype.

Crop Circles

What I would do with my crop circles is fill it in with large painted rocks. Crop cirlces are already works of art that should be noted and preserved for all to see. It would be a kind of a mosaic painting in the earth. Leaving a tattoo on the planet for generations to see and wounder about. Now i could just leave it at a great work of art for all to see but I think ill have some fun with it and maybe leave a scripture on the circle outlining a religion that promises an afterlife and happiness. As well instructions to find my cryogenic frozen body whereabouts. And since were in the future they probably have a way to bring me back to life. So that leaves me in the future and a story depicting me as a savor in a religious since. Who would have thought an a student from IUPUI becoming the next mass religious icon of the 22nd century.
